With campaigning getting intense as the polling date approaches, the BJP and Congress candidates Are making hard efforts to get victory from the Sonepat Assembly seat.

They are leaving no stone unturned to woo the voters in this Assembly segment. A close contest is on cards between the BJP candidate Mayor Nikhil Madaan and Congress candidate and outgoing MLA Surender Panwar.

Madaan organised a door-to-door campaign in the city markets, seeking the people’s support and vote. He began his roadshow from the Ambedkar chowk near the bus stand and ended it at Subhash Chowk. He was welcomed by various market associations which announced to support him.

Overwhelmed by the support of people in the market, Madaan claimed that with the support of all 36 communities, the BJP government was certain to be formed in the state.

He said in the past 10 years, lakhs of youths of Haryana have got jobs on the basis of their qualifications. The state government had started purchasing all crops of the farmers on the MSP and Haryana was the first state in the country to do so.

All sections of society are being given the benefits of government schemes without any discrimination and recommendations under the BJP government, Nikhil said.

The samman amount is being sent directly to all beneficiaries in their bank accounts. Following the principle of Antyodaya, the BJP has worked to give its just rights to the person standing in the last row of society, he said.

After the door-to-door campaign, Madaan addressed public meetings in Eight Marla Ekta park, Housing board colony, Devru road, Dev Nagar, Vishal Nagar, Jatwara, Adarsh Nagar and Jeewan Nagar during his campaign.

He further said that no lies of the Congress could make it succeed in the Assembly polls.

Meanwhile, the Congress camp is excited after the Punjab and Haryana High Court declared the arrest of its candidate Surender Panwar illegal. In his absence, Samiksha Panwar, his daughter-in-law, and her husband Lalit Panwar were leading the campaign. Samiksha Panwar and Lalit Panwar on Tuesday held public meetings in Tara Nagar, Baba Colony, Mam Chand Colony, Kot Mohalla, Kakroi road to woo voters.

Former CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda also addressed a public meeting in the old grain market in support of Surender Panwar and appealed to the voters to vote for Congress candidate Surender Panwar on October 5.
