The Kurukshetra police have registered a case against BJP leader Sahil Sudha and some unidentified persons for voluntarily causing hurt, in connection with an assault case in Kurukshetra on Thursday night.

Sahil is the son of BJP Thanesar candidate Subhash Sudha. The Congress workers on Friday had held a demonstration against an assault incident, in which Congress worker Manish Kumar had sustained injuries.

In his complaint to police, Manish Kumar had stated that he and his friend were on Amin road when Sahil reached there with 8-9 unidentified persons. “Sahil told me that I should be ashamed of supporting Congress as he had helped me in my children’s admissions in a school. I told him that he could get the admissions cancelled if he wanted. On hearing this, he started beating me,” he added. A case has been registered at the Krishna Gate police station.
