Bhukkal: BJP must ensure equal development of all constituencies
While congratulating Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini and members of his Cabinet for forming a new government in the state, former Education Minister and Jhajjar MLA Geeta Bhukkal has reminded the BJP of its promise about ensuring equal development of every Assembly constituency in the state without any bias.
“In the past decade, the BJP government have been biased with the Jhajjar Assembly constituency in terms of development works. It did not pay any heed towards the issues of the area despite being flagged by me prominently in the Vidhan Sabha repeatedly. Heaps of garbage can be seen lying in every nook and corner of Jhajjar city while stray cattle pose threat to road users by squatting in the middle of the road,” said Bhukkal while interacting with the media on the sidelines of ‘Valmiki Jayanti’ programme held here today.
The Five-time MLA launched a scathing attack on the BJP government over the deteriorating law and order situation stating that the state had recorded a rising crime graph in the past a decade. “I hope that the BJP government will take some vital steps to prevent crime by providing a safe environment to every section of society,” she added.
In reply to a question, Bhukkal said the Congress was confident about coming back to power as all media reports, surveys and people too were giving a clear edge to the Congress in the elections.
“The Congress respects the people’s verdict and will work as usual to flag the public issues prominently and mount pressure on the state government for getting them resolved,” she added.
