Badoli ‘clueless’ on Sirsa candidate’s withdrawal
Haryana BJP president Mohan Lal Badoli has expressed ignorance regarding the withdrawal of nomination papers by party’s Sirsa candidate Rohtash Jangra.
Flip-flop on kanda
- On support to HLP candidate Gopal Kanda, BJP state chief Mohan Lal Badoli initially said no decision had been taken
- In a subsequent statement at the same conference, he said he would reply on the matter after a day.
- In another statement to a news channel, he said Kanda’s party was an NDA partner
“Jangra will be called and asked about the matter,” Badoli said while addressing a news conference here on Tuesday. Asked whether the BJP had decided to support Haryana Lokhit Party (HLP) candidate Gopal Kanda, Badoli maintained that as of now, no decision has been taken regarding extending support to Kanda.
It is pertinent to mention here that Jangra, the BJP candidate from Sirsa Assembly constituency, had withdrawn his nomination papers yesterday, stating that he had been instructed by the party leadership.
However, state BJP president Mohan Lal Badoli said he had no information regarding the matter.
The BJP leader informed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would address three rallies in Haryana, including one at Sonepat on September 26, the second at Hisar and the third at Palwal on October 2.
“BJP national president Jagat Prakash Nadda will release the party’s sankalp patra (manifesto) in Rohtak on September 18,” he added.
