Caretaker Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Wednesday said he just got only 56 days to work, during which he took 126 historic decisions for the welfare of every section of society. For this short duration, the Congress was seeking account from him instead of giving the account of its own work.

He claimed the BJP government had lived up to the people’s expectations, hence it would again come back to power for the third time in a row.

How many crops did you buy on MSP?

Hooda should tell people how many crops were bought on MSP when he was the CM. We have decided to procure 24 crops on MSP. Many schemes are being run to enhance farmers’ income. Nayab Singh Saini, Caretaker CM

Addressing a public meeting here on Wednesday to seek votes for the BJP candidate Laxman Singh Yadav, he said government jobs were given on the basis of ‘parchi and kharchi’ by ignoring the merit during the Congress regime, but the BJP ended this system and gave jobs to deserving candidates.

In Yamunanagar, addressing a rally by party candidate from Radaur Shyam Singh Rana, he reiterated that his government had provided jobs on merit.

Targeting former CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda, Saini said he should tell people how many crops were bought on MSP when he was the CM. “We have decided to procure 24 crops on the MSP. Many schemes are being run to enhance their income but the previous Congress government did nothing except acquiring land from farmers at cheaper rates.

Accusing the Congress of misleading people by speaking lies, the CM said the Congress had announced to give one lakh jobs every year in Himachal Pradesh, monthly financial aid to women and free electricity but the announcement was lying unfulfilled even after two years. CM Saini alleged that Hooda worked only for the development of Rohtak district, but the BJP government did equal development of all areas of the state.

He said that the BJP government had worked to uplift farmers, traders, employees and all other sections of the society. “Our government has started giving LPG cylinders for Rs 500 to the beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana. The BJP government is giving Rs 6,000 annually in three installments of Rs 2,000 each to farmers,” said Saini.
