Another held in Gurugram crude bomb blast case
In connection with the crude bomb blast outside two nightclubs in Sector 29, the police have arrested another accused. The Special Investigation Team (SIT) handling the case said they are currently questioning the new suspect.
They said the arrested individual, identified as Bhavish (26), is a resident of Soldha village in Jhajjar district.
The blasts occurred on December 10, outside two nightclubs in Sector 29, and led to the arrest of Sachin, a resident of Meerut, who was apprehended at the scene. On December 12, gangster Rohit Godara claimed responsibility for the attacks in a social media post. He stated the blasts were carried out as a warning for the non-payment of extortion money.
Following the blasts, police placed Sachin under a seven-day remand after he was produced in court. On December 11, three additional suspects — Vinit Malik from Muzaffarnagar, Vikas from Sonipat, and Ankit from Meerut — were arrested. These individuals were remanded for six days.
ACP Crime Varun Dahiya said the four earlier-arrested accused were thoroughly interrogated before being sent to jail after their police remand. "We have now arrested one more accused in connection with the bomb blast outside the nightclubs and we are currently questioning him," ACP Dahiya added.
