Anil Vij accuses officials of conspiring against him in elections

Cabinet Minister Anil Vij has accused certain party workers and government officials of conspiring against him during the recent Assembly elections. Speaking at a gathering in Ambala Cantonment after inaugurating a foot over-bridge (FOB) with escalators, Vij expressed his disappointment with both internal and external forces that he claims tried to undermine his election efforts.

“The recently concluded Assembly elections were very interesting,” Vij stated. “Traitors were spreading rumours that I would not receive the ticket. Some traitors tried to create a narrative that Nayab Saini wanted me to lose the election; some officials fell into their words and played their role. If Saini wanted me to lose, he wouldn’t have let me get the ticket. He is my friend, and it was I who made him district president of Ambala. Why would he want me to lose the election?”

Vij went on to criticise certain officials for allegedly stalling essential public works, which he claims were weaponised against him during the campaign. “I know how to deal with the traitors, but I am disappointed with the officials who stalled petty works for three months. They didn’t allow the construction and patchwork of roads, and then the issue of poor roads was used in the election. Even the DC went on leave soon after I started gaining a lead during the counting,” he added.
