Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University is all set to conduct its entrance examination for admission to various courses, including the Bachelor of Fisheries Science (BFSc) four-year course, BSc Agriculture (six-year course), BSc Community Science, MSc Agriculture, MTech Agricultural Engineering, MFSc course, MSc Community Science, on July 14.

Vice-Chancellor Prof BR Kamboj said 4,525 candidates had applied for admission in various courses. He said admit cards had been issued to all candidates, adding that 12 examination centres had been set up in Hisar town.

Registrar Dr Balwan Singh Mandal said strict vigil would be ensured against cheating and impersonation during the exam. Special inspection teams had been formed for this purpose. Each candidate would also be photographed. He said candidates would not be allowed to carry electronic devices like mobile phones, calculators and electronic diaries inside the examination centres.

University’s Controller of Examinations Pawan Kumar said candidates would have to download their admit card and bring it along with an attested photograph. Without the admit card, they would not be able to enter the examination centre, he said. He said the time of the entrance examination for BFSc four-year course would be 10 am to 1.30 pm, for BSc (Hons.) community science, it would be 2.30 pm to 5 pm; and for the remaining courses, it would be 10 am to 12.30 pm, but it would be mandatory for the candidates to reach their examination centre one hour before the commencement of the examination. He said in case of any problem or confusion, candidates could come and meet the Assistant Registrar (Academic) at Fletcher Bhawan of the university from 7 am to 2 pm, otherwise they could call on the office phone number 01662-255254. He said candidates could check important information related to the entrance exam in the prospectus available on the university website hau.ac.in and admissions.hau.ac.in.
