Admn notifies places for rallies, putting up poll material

The Sub Divisional Magistrate-cum-Returning Officer of Pataudi Assembly constituency, Dinesh Kumar, has notified designated places for organising public meetings and putting up promotional material for the ensuing Assembly elections. A list such places was sent to the District Magistrate-cum-District Election Officer for his perusal.

According to Kumar, public meetings in Pataudi constituency could be organised at the Heli Mandi grain market, old grain market in front of Heli Mandi Municipal Office, Ramlila Ground on the Gurugram Road in Pataudi, Holika Ground, municipal land along with Valmiki Chaupal on Rewari road, land along the Moti Dungri Park in Pataudi and municipal land near Ramjohad of the town, among other places.

He added that the administration would fully comply with the Property Defacement Act and take legal action against fixing of campaign material at unauthorised places without prior permission of the authorities concerned. Before organising a rally, it was necessary for political parties and candidates to take permission from the SDM office, he said. The place of the public meeting would be allotted to the candidates on the first-come-first-serve basis, he added.
