A day after the police registered a case against 10 persons, including a retired DSP, an SHO, an Assistant Sub-Inspector and a woman cop, besides six others, in a case of alleged abetment to suicide by an employee of the DC office, the victim’s family members started a dharna at the Mini-Secretariat, demanding the arrest of the accused in the case.

The deceased, was re-employed by the Haryana Government in 2018. He was posted at the DC Office, Hisar. According to the victim’s son Pankaj, Raj Kumar died after consuming celphos on October 23. The victim had mentioned his statement in a complaint register of the DC before committing suicide, in which he alleged that some cops had been harassing him by registering a false case against him.

The victim named DSP Ashok Kumar (who retired two months ago), SHO Jagdish, ASI Phool Kumar and ASI Usha, besides six others, for harassing him. The victim had also narrated the incident of harassment in the suicide note.
