Sirsa’s Praveen Arora is bringing a heartfelt story to Bollywood, with “Dhai Akhar”, a film that explores domestic violence and a woman’s journey to rediscover herself.

Set to release on November 22, “Dhai Akhar” is based on Amreek Singh Deep’s novel “Teerth Yatra” and follows Harshita, a woman trapped in an abusive marriage. Her life takes a new direction when she connects through letters with renowned writer Shridhar. However, as a widow, her bond with Shridhar faces rejection from her family and society, highlighting the societal taboos she must confront.

The film gained acclaim at the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa last year, where it was showcased in the prestigious Panorama section. With rave reviews from critics and audiences alike, “Dhai Akhar” is now ready for its nationwide release, with a new poster launched on social media.
