Eight cyber fraudsters, recently arrested by the Gurugram cyber police, had duped hundreds of people across the country of Rs 10.76 crore, according to sources after examining the SIM cards of the accused from the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C).

The fraudsters used to commit cyber frauds by luring people for making investments in the stock market. The police recovered Rs 60,000, two mobile phones with SIM cards, two passports and other documents from them. “A total of 2,972 complaints and 124 cases are lodged against the accused,” said Priyanshu Dewan, ACP cyber.
