6 more accused held in Nuh violence case

The police on Thursday arrested six accused in connection with the communal violence that took place in Nuh last year. The accused had been absconding for a year and an FIR was registered against them at the cyber police station in Nuh on August 7 last year for calling to gather a crowd through WhatsApp.
According to the police, the arrested accused were identified as Noman, Saddam, Sabir Ali, Mohammad Mustafa, Arbaj and Mohammad Sakir, all residents of Ferozepur Namak village in Nuh. Six mobile phones were recovered from their possession. The arrested accused were produced in a Nuh court today and sent to judicial custody.
On July 31 last year, communal violence broke out during the Jalabhishek Yatra in Nuh in which six people lost their lives. A large number of vehicles were burnt. The mob also set fire to the Nuh cyber ??police station.
“The police have already registered separate cases in connection with the violence and arrested more than 300 accused. Now, these six more accused have been arrested in connection with the violence. All six accused were sent to judicial custody,” said Krishan Kumar, spokesperson for the Nuh police.
