In what appears to be yet another instance of disgruntled homebuyers, around 500 buyers of Hero Homes have approached the authorities regarding delayed possession.

We want authorities to intervene

We have been forced to take to the streets to beg for a home. We have deposited our entire life’s savings and are paying EMIs. The builder has no concrete plan or answers. We want the authorities to intervene and help us secure our homes. — A protester

The homebuyers, along with their families, including children, staged a protest today, alleging that they were supposed to receive possession of their homes by 2023. It has been a year since then, and they claim the builder has been misleading them.

The protesters invested in the project in 2018, with construction starting and possession promised by 2023. However, they said they have seen no signs of completion so far, despite the builder having applied for the occupancy certificate (OC).

“We have been forced to take to the streets to beg for a home. We have deposited our entire life’s savings and are paying EMIs. The builder has no concrete plan or answers. We want the authorities to intervene and help us secure our homes,” said one of the protesters.

A spokesperson for Hero Realty stated, “As a responsible organisation, we have always prioritised a customer-first approach. The project is being developed in a phased manner, and all four towers of Phase 1 are already completed. We have submitted the necessary documents to obtain the OC, and the process of handing over possession will commence as soon as we receive it.”
