44 IAS officers reshuffled, Sumita Mishra new Home Secy
The Haryana Government has transferred 44 IAS officers in a major reshuffle, with 1990 batch IAS officer Anurag Rastogi appointed Financial Commissioner, Revenue and Disaster Management, while Sumita Mishra of the same batch will be the new Home Secretary.
Rastogi is one of the three officers who had challenged the gradation list of the 1990 batch. The issue remains unresolved.
Earlier, Rastogi was given the charge of Chief Secretary till Vivek Joshi joined the Haryana cadre from Central deputation. He will continue to hold the charge of the Finance Department.
Sudhir Rajpal will continue to hold the charge of Additional Chief Secretary (ACS), Health and Family Welfare, along with Medical Education and Research and Ayush departments, while Anand Mohan Sharan will be ACS, Environment, Forests and Wildlife, and Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs departments.
Ashok Khemka of the 1991 batch will be ACS, Transport Department. Before this, he was heading the light weight Printing and Stationery Department. He will replace IPS officer Navdeep Singh Virk, who has been relieved of the charge, and work along with Transport Minister Anil Vij.
Vineet Garg will head the Higher Education Department and also hold the charge of Chairman, Haryana State Pollution Control Board (HSPCB).
Apoorva Kumar Singh will be ACS, Town and Country Planning and Urban Estates Department, and Energy Department.
Anurag Agarwal, ACS, PW (B&R) and Architecture Department and Irrigation and Water Resources Department, will also hold the charge of Adviser, Haryana Saraswati Heritage Board.
D Suresh (1995 batch) will continue to hold the charge of Resident Commissioner, Haryana Bhawan, along with Principal Secretary, Industries and Commerce Department.
Shyamal Misra will hold the charge of Chief Administrator, Trade Fair Authority of Haryana, CEO, Faridabad Metropolitan Development Authority (FMDA), CEO of Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA), and Principal Secretary, Civil Aviation Department.
Rajeev Ranjan, Principal Secretary, Fisheries Department, will also hold the charge of Labour Department.
Vijay Singh Dahiya will be Commissioner and Secretary, Printing and Stationery, and Animal Husbandry departments, while Commissioner and Secretary, Women and Child Development Department, Amneet P Kumar, will also hold the charge of Commissioner and Secretary, Archives Department.
Amit Kumar Agrawal will be Commissioner and Secretary, Development and Panchayats Department; Information, Public Relations, Languages and Culture Department; and Foreign Cooperation Department.
Ashima Brar will hold the charge of Excise and Taxation Commissioner, and MD, Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Limited.
The 2004 batch officer, Sanjeev Verma, will hold the charge of three departments — Director General, Sports; Ayush; and Foreign Cooperation.
