4,388 students to get degrees at Kurukshetra NIT today
Kurukshetra National Institute of Technology (NIT) Director BV Ramana Reddy informed that the 19th convocation would be organised at the institute’s open air theatre on Sunday, in which 4,388 degrees will be conferred on students.
He said that Governor Bandaru Dattatreya, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini and G Satheesh Reddy, former chairperson of the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and former adviser to Defence Minister, will be present during the ceremony.
Chief co-ordinator of the 19th Convocation ceremony, RK Sharma, informed that during the convocation, a total of 4,388 students will be awarded degrees, including 2,890 degrees of Bachelor of Technology, 1,365 post-graduation degrees and 133 degrees of Doctor of Philosophy.
Besides the NIT students, as many as 81 students of IIIT, Sonepat, will also get their degrees during the event.
