4-yr-old missing boy's death; 13-year-old neighbour held
In a heartbreaking incident at Haroli vllage in Fatehabad, the body of a missing four-year-old boy has been discovered, leading to a shocking revelation.
The authorities have arrested a 13-year-old neighbour in connection with the child's death, which is being investigated as both a homicide and an offence under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
The young boy went missing on the evening of November 1 while playing outside his house. His family searched for him, but was unsuccessful in its efforts. It was later that night, around 8 pm, that he was found dead in a nearby shed used for storing straw. The discovery prompted immediate police intervention, as the child’s pants were found down, and he had vomitted nearby.
The family expressed their fears that something terrible had happened to the child. Upon receiving the report, police officials, including DSP Sanjay Bishnoi, rushed to the scene. They reviewed the CCTV footage from the area, which showed the boy playing in the street with some objects in hand, seemingly unaware of the danger he was in.
Based on the father’s complaint, the police initially registered a case against unknown individuals for allegedly poisoning the child. The investigation was assigned to SHO Om Prakash of the Sadar police station in Ratia. Further inquiries led the police to interrogate the 13-year-old neighbour and his family, where disturbing details emerged.
It was revealed that the young boy had lured the four-year-old into the straw shed with malicious intent. During the encounter, the older boy reportedly caused the younger child's neck to twist, leading to the fatal injury. After the incident, the child vomitted and subsequently died.
The 13-year-old was presented in a juvenile court and later sent to a correctional facility in Ambala as the investigation continues.
