A four-year-old nursery student, identified as Himansh, studying at a private school here, died after an ‘amla’ kernel got stuck in his throat while he was at school. The police have started investigation after registering a case against the school manager on the charges of being negligent that led to the death of the minor boy.

Deepak of Sulodha village in his complaint filed with the police claimed that his son picked up a fallen ‘amla’ from a tree and ate it while playing. The amla got stuck in Himansh’s throat that led to the deterioration of his condition. Instead of taking him to a hospital for treatment, the school administration left him home.

“Later, we took Himansh to a hospital where the doctor removed the amla from his throat and declared him dead. The negligence on the part of the school management is responsible for this shocking incident, hence appropriate action should be taken against those guilty,” said the complainant.
