38 devotees leave for Ayodhya from Kurukshetra

Minister of State for Urban Local Bodies and Thanesar MLA Subhash Sudha flagged off a bus, under the Mukhyamantri Tirtha Yatra Yojana, ferrying devotees to Ayodhya from Kurukshetra on Tuesday.
As many as 38 devotees left from Kurukshetra to visit the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. After flagging off the bus from the Panchayat Bhawan, Sudha said, “There are many religious places in the country which people want to visit to pay obeisance. For the convenience of the devotees, the government has launched the scheme in which the devotees are being provided free travel on the Haryana Roadways bus. People are excited about the journey and we have congratulated them as they will be able to visit Ayodhya soon.”
“Earlier, on the demand of the devotees, the buses were started for Khatu Shyam, Mathura and other pilgrimage sites. All arrangements for the devotees have been made and it will be ensured that they don’t face any inconvenience. Before Kurukshetra, the devotees from Ambala, Karnal, Kaithal and Jind districts have already visited the pilgrimages under the scheme. More buses will run from other districts in the coming days,” he added.
The minister also said a budget of Rs 2.18 crore would be spent on the construction of 21 roads in Ward 18, 20 and 24 in Thanesar.
Sudha said, “The foundation stones for the construction have been laid and efforts are being made to provide good quality roads. Various development works are being carried out in the city area and the officials have also been asked to focus on the beautification works too. The community centres will also be upgraded and sanitation improved. Night sweeping will start as soon as tender for the machine will be opened on July 15.”
