3 more arrested for Gurugram blast
The Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the Gurugram Police has arrested three more persons in connection with a crude bomb blast outside two nightclubs in Sector 29 here on Tuesday.
Police Commissioner Vikas Kumar Arora had constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT), led by ACP (Crime) Varun Dahiya, to probe the matter.
According to the police, the suspects were arrested on Wednesday. They had been identified as Ankit (30), a resident of Meerut district; Vinit Malik (27), a native of Muzaffarnagar in Uttar Pradesh; and Vikas (28), a resident of Sonipat district in Haryana.
The police produced them in a court, which sent them to six-day police remand. Main accused Sachin Taliyan (27) is already in seven-day police remand.
An investigating officer said during interrogation, it was revealed that two of the three suspects were with Sachin who was arrested red-handed while hurling crude bombs outside nightclubs.
Police Commissioner Vikas Kumar Arora said the police were investigating the case thoroughly.
“All four suspects are in police remand and are being questioned. Detailed information will be shared with the media soon. Involvement of some more persons has also come to the fore and they will be nabbed soon,” said CP Vikas Kumar Arora.
The SIT of the Gurugram Police will also bring two suspects arrested in connection with blasts outside nightclubs in Chandigarh on production warrant for questioning in the Gurugram blast case.
On Thursday, gangster Rohit Godara, an aide of Goldy Brar and Lawrence Bishnoi gang, had claimed responsibility for the crude bomb blast outside a Sector 29 club on Tuesday morning.
In a post on Facebook, Godara wrote that bomb blasts in Chandigarh and Gurugram were just a trailer and tagged Lawrence Bishnoi group, Gomi Mann group, Kala Rana, Virendra Charan and Randeep.
After the blast in a Chandigarh club, a youth threw two crude bombs outside Human Pub Club and Toy Box Club in Sector 29 here on Tuesday morning. One of the bombs exploded. The police caught Sachin when he was about to throw the third bomb.
A senior officer said a lot of information had been obtained from Sachin during interrogation and three more suspects had been arrested. The involvement of some more people had also come to light and they would be arrested soon.
On Friday, the police appealed to people that if they notice any suspicious person or object anywhere in Gurugram, they should immediately inform the police on helpline numbers.
