3 arrested for killing co-worker in Gurugram
The Gurugram police have arrested three persons, working at a private company, for strangling their co-worker to death. An electrical wire, which was used in the crime, was seized from their possession.
The victim was identified as Pushpendra (25), a native of Aligarh in Uttar Pradesh.
According to the police, the accused were identified as Srajan, Ramanand and Ajeet, all natives of Ganeshpur village in Mainpuri district of Uttar Pradesh. They used to work at a private company in IMT, Manesar, with Pushpendra. The accused revealed that they had killed him over some quarrel while they were having alcohol together.
According to the police, a team received information about a dead body lying. When the police reached the spot, they found his body in a room.
In her complaint, Pushpendra’s sister said the victim had told her several times that his co-workers often quarrelled with him over trivial matters and threatened to kill him.
“My younger brother, who was living separately in the same village, had told me on December 10 around 4:30 am that Pushpendra (the elder brother) was not waking up. When I reached his room, he was found lying dead on the floor. There were injury marks on his neck and head. His co-workers murdered him,” the victim’s sister said.
Following the complaint, an FIR was registered at the IMT, Manesar police station on Monday. While investigating, the police team, led by inspector Devender Kumar, SHO of IMT, Manesar police station, arrested all three accused on Tuesday in the Sector 3 area of IMT, Manesar.
“During interrogation, the accused revealed that on December 9, they killed Pushpendra following a brawl. During the argument, Pushpendra abused them, after which Ramanand and Ajit caught Pushpendra’s hands and legs while Srajan strangulated him to death with the electric wire. We are questioning the accused,” said a police spokesperson.
