23 file nominations for elections to MDU non-teaching employees’ body
As many as 23 employees have filed their nomination papers for various posts of office-bearers and members of executive committee for the annual election of the Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU) Non-Teaching Employees Association on the first day today.
The election is scheduled to be held on October 28 and October 25 is the last day to file nominations before lunch. Symbols would be allotted to the candidates after the scrutiny of nomination papers post lunch.
As per reports, candidates of two panels — Karamchari Swabhiman Manch (KSM) and Karamchari Suraksha Sangathan (KSS) — have filed their nomination papers for five main posts of the association.
The KSM has fielded Anil Malhotra for the post of president, Dharmendra for vice-president, Ajmer Singh for general secretary, Deepak Saini for joint secretary and Vijay Pal for treasurer. The KSM belongs to Raj Kumar Sharma, outgoing president of the association. Similarly, the KSS has pitched Rajesh for the post of president, Ravinder Panwar for vice-president, Vivek Chauhan for general secretary, Nitin Bhatnagar for joint secretary and Raj Kanwar for treasurer. SP Rathi, Chief Election Officer, said as many as 13 other employees have also filed nomination papers for various categories.
