2 nabbed for selling firecrackers illegally

The Gurugram police have arrested two people for selling firecrackers illegally in Sector 50 and Palam Vihar of Gurugram.

Nearly one quintal of crackers were seized from their possession, and two separate FIRs were registered against them.

According to the police, a team of Palam Vihar police arrested Jitendra, a resident of Jaipur in Rajasthan, while he was illegally selling crackers in the Vyapar Kendra market on Thursday.

The team seized over 10 kg firecrackers from his possession.

Meanwhile, a team of the Sector 50 police arrested Zakir, a native of Bijnor in Uttar Pradesh.

The accused was selling firecrackers without permission in Q Block of Sector 49 on Thursday evening.

Around 90 kg of illegal firecrackers were seized from his possession.

A senior police officer said they were questioning the accused.
