Ahead of the upcoming elections on October 5, around 2,500 police and paramilitary personnel will be deployed in Sirsa to ensure security, said Superintendent of Police (SP) Vikrant Bhushan. He said comprehensive security arrangements had been made to guarantee a peaceful and fair election process. The SP stated that sensitive and highly sensitive polling booths would receive enhanced security, with close monitoring of suspicious individuals and anti-social elements. Officials on duty had been instructed to maintain a friendly attitude toward the public while responding firmly to any disruptive activities. In addition to district-wide security measures, strict surveillance would be enforced along the borders with Rajasthan and Punjab, where 16 police checkpoints had been established. These checkpoints would thoroughly inspect individuals and vehicles passing through. Bhushan further added that 40 patrolling parties would be stationed across the Ellenabad, Rania, and Sirsa constituencies, ensuring 24-hour surveillance to maintain order throughout the election period.
