1,185 plaints received via c-Vigil resolved in Ambala
As many as 1,185 complaints regarding the alleged violation of model code have been resolved through the c-Vigil application in Ambala.
APP Connects citizens with control room
- The c-Vigil app connects citizens with the control room and returning officers. By using the application, the citizens can report about incidents of political misconduct easily.
- So far, the flying squad teams and the static surveillance teams had recovered cash, precious metal, liquor and intoxicants worth over ~11.29 crore from August 16 to Sept 27.
As per the information 1,215 complaints were raised through the c-Vigil application, of which 30 were found to be incorrect while the 1,185 were resolved within 100 minutes.
Deputy Commissioner Parth Gupta said residents had been actively raising the issues related to the violation of the model code and the complaints were being addressed. Of total, 415 complaints were received from the Ambala Cantonment Assembly segment, 378 from the Ambala City segment, 278 from the Mullana Assembly segment, and 144 from the Naraingarh Assembly segment.

The Deputy Commissioner further said during the election so far, the flying squad teams and the static surveillance teams had recovered cash, precious metal, liquor and intoxicants worth over Rs 11.29 crore from August 16 to September 27.
Parth Gupta said the teams had established check points in all four Assembly segments and recovered Rs 1.43 crore cash, liquor worth over Rs 1.58 crore, precious metal worth Rs 7.31 crore and intoxicants worth Rs 42 lakh. The officials had been directed to keep a close watch on all activities and ensure that all rules and guidelines of model code are strictly followed, so that the election was conducted in a fair and transparent manner.
