11 vehicles caught for garbage dumping

The Sanitation Security Force (SSF) of the Municipal caught 11 vehicles along with their drivers in the past one week. FIRs were registered against 7 persons for allegedly dumping garbage and debris at public places, the Additional Commissioner Dr Balpreet Singh stated here, today. He said 4 vehicle owners were fined apart from the seven FIRs registered. The SSF has also caught 2 super sucker machines for illegal dumping of garbage, against whom action was being taken as per rules.

Adding that throwing garbage and debris at public places, vacant lands, green belts and roadsides in the municipal area was a punishable offence, the MC official said the SSF was monitoring and patrolling the city day and night daily.
