1 arrested for 50-year-old man’s murder

The police have arrested a person in connection with the murder of a 50-year-old man, who was beaten to death over a monetary dispute recently.

A police official said the accused identified as Bharat alias Kallu has been arrested from Hodal. He said the accused — who had was related to the victim — came to Ajronda village here on September 15. He assaulted the victim, Rajesh Kumar alias Raju Pandit, who had been running a gym and hotel here.

Rajesh suffered severe head injuries and died in the hospital. His nephews — Saurabh (23) and Naresh (25) — also got injured in the incident. They were assaulted with sticks and iron rods by the accused. He was assisted by some others, who are yet to be identified and arrested.
