Two Manager Grade-I officials Pradeep Kumar Gupta and Surender Singh were terminated on April 20 this year as roster system was not followed in their case.

So far, a total of 10 officials have been sacked.

The Panchkula police had registered an FIR against Khemka in connection with these two posts. Another FIR was registered against Verma and Ravinder Kumar for alleged tampering with records.

In case of three more employees, legal opinion is being sought.

The termination orders of eight employees, issued on June 13, mentioned that the Haryana Lokayukta had called for a report on these appointments, vide an order dated January 24.

The ACS of the Agriculture and Farmers Welfare had intimated the corporation about the Lokayukta order on March 7 and had also forwarded the Chief Secretary’s letter dated March 3 in this regard.

After that, a committee of four senior officers was constituted on April 22, which found that 13 employees didn’t fulfil the required experience criteria.

Show-cause notices were issued to them on April 29 and given personal hearings too.

The sacked employees, Rajesh Kumar and Dilbag Singh, submitted that they would submit replies once the High Court decided their pending cases, but the contention was dismissed.

In the case of Jagdish Chand, the corporation concluded that he had applied under general category, but was appointed under the SC category.
