Haryana Government committed to cow protection, says Minister Ranbir Gangwa
The 15th Gopashtmi Pujan Mahotsav was organised at Shri Gau Raksha Seva Samiti Gaushala located on the Agroha Road in Barwala town today.
Public Works Department and Public Health Engineering Department Minister Ranbir Gangwa, who was the chief guest at the programme, announced a grant of Rs 11 lakh from the voluntary quota to the gaushala committee. He laid the foundation stone for the construction of a godown for the storage of fodder at the gaushala. BJP state general secretary Surender Poonia also attended the programme.
Addressing the gathering, Gangwa said that the state government was committed to the cause of cow protection. He said it had increased the grant amount for the care of cow shelters. The minister said just like it was the duty of every person to serve his/her parents, it was everyone's responsibility to serve cows selflessly. The minister said that serving cows was a bigger service than serving humans.
Gangwa said all demands put forth by the gaushala committee, including the construction of a 33-ft-wide concrete road on the Agroha-Barwala stretch, would be fulfilled.
Chairman of Mati Kala Board Ishwar Malwal, former chairman Satbir Verma, Barwala SDM Vedprakash Beniwal, Chief Engineer of Khedar Thermal Power Plant Amod Jindal and Barwala municipality president Ramesh Batteriwala were among those present on the occasion.
