Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said the voters of Haryana were the first ones to walk the path of “ek hai to safe hai” by decisively defeating the “divisive Congress” and re-electing BJP for a third term.

Speaking in Akola in poll bound Maharashtra, the Prime Minister repeated his newly coined Hindu unity slogan of “ek hai to safe hai” to admonish voters of the western state against “Congress designs to divide castes.”

Modi said in the entire period that Congress ruled over India, “it resorted to divide and rule and pitted one SC caste, one ST caste and one OBC caste against another.”

“Congress knows the more the country is divided the more strength it gains. That's why it has practised the policy of dividing castes. Mazboot Congress equals Majboor Bharat (strong Congress means helpless India),” said Modi intensifying his attack against Congress-led INDIA bloc's caste census pitch.

“I congratulate the people of Haryana for following the policy of ek hai to safe hai and defeating the Congress. Haryana was the first to do so. Maharashtra should also follow suit,” said the PM accusing the Congress’ Gandhi family of ‘undermining BR Ambedkar for as long as he lived.’

“I dare the royal family of Congress to answer whether they have ever visited the five places our government has developed as pilgrimages in the memory of Dr Ambedkar. They have not even visited the Ambedkar memorial in Delhi. On the other hand, Modi has named the digital currency app as Bhim app after Dr Ambedkar. It also took a BJP backed government at the Centre to confer Dr Ambedkar with Bharat Ratna,” PM said slamming the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi as a “Maha ghotalaa (corrupt) coalition.”
