Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini who was in Panchkula on Saturday said the Congress party was an anti-Dalit party. He also called the Congress’ manifesto a bundle of lies and attacked Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal on his pending excise policy case and the SYL issue. He said his state government had been carrying-out development works for the residents. Saini was addressing a jan-ashirwad rally in Barwala in support of party candidate Gian Chand Gupta.

“The Congress does not respect Dalits. It crushes Dalits who try to rise up. Selja is not a small leader. She is a Dalit leader. But she has been disrespected and targeted with casteist remarks. The Congress, which is engrossed in pariwar-waad (supporting family members only), much like Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi in Delhi and Bhupinder Hooda in Haryana, has disrespected her.”

He said residents of Himachal Pradesh were not getting free electricity, jobs or any other facilities.

He added his policy for the state was clear, “We have been working with a vision in mind and will continue to do so. We have already taken 126 strong decisions for the development of Haryana in just 56 days. Gian Chand Gupta’s booklet publishing works of Rs 5,000 crore in Panchkula during BJP tenure is a proof of our work.”

On Bhupinder Singh Hooda, he said his 56 days of tenure would outweigh Hooda’s 10 years as CM.

He listed a number of decisions taken by the state government. He said the BJP government provided Happy Cards to 23 lakh families with an annual income of less than Rs one lakh to travel up to 1,000 km for free every year in Haryana Roadways buses. “Under the Har Ghar Har Grihini Yojana, gas cylinders were provided to more than 50 lakh families for Rs 500. Haryana is the first state which will procure 24 crops on MSP,” he said.

CM Saini said the BJP would fully implement its manisfesto in five years, including providing women with Rs 2,100 per month under the Lado Laxmi Yojana, setting-up IMTs in 10 districts, increasing the expenditure limit under Ayushman Card to 10 lakh per year and providing two lakh jobs.

On Kejriwal, the CM said, “He is accused in an excise policy case, but he is issuing assurances for Haryana. I urge Kejriwal to first provide Haryana its share of river waters through the SYL canal through the AAP government in Punjab.”
