Saini said the state would produce talented shooters who would be ready to compete at international-level ranges. He cited the example of Olympians Manu Bhaker and Sarabjot Singh, who won medals in shooting at the Paris Olympics, and said players from other areas of Haryana, Punjab and Himachal Pradesh would also be able to practice at the range.

The CM said the State Institute of Engineering and Technology would be the best institute in North India in the field of technology education. “The admissions for the college started in the 2023–24 academic year and classes started with 90 students at the campus of Government Polytechnic Sector 26. This year on, courses in emerging technology such as artificial intelligence and machine learning, cybersecurity, robotics and automation will be started with an intake capacity of 180 students,” he said.

He said the state government was committed to promoting technical education. “The students at the college would be provided with the latest technical knowledge and skills so that they could meet the demands of the industry and contribute to the development of the state and the country. “Our government is committed to promoting technical education so that our youth not only get employment but also become entrepreneurs,” he said.

He said they had already established 15 new polytechnics and four new government engineering colleges in 10 years to provide advanced training in emerging areas of technology and to create more employment opportunities for the youth.

Haryana Assembly Speaker Gian Chand Gupta said with the establishment of the shooting range, emerging shooting players would not only be able to practice here, but the state would also be able to host national and international-level games.
