Haryana BJP president Mohan Lal Badoli has expressed ignorance about the withdrawal of nomination by the party's Sirsa candidate Rohtash Jangra.

Addressing a news conference on Tuesday, Badoli said, “Jangra will be called and asked about the matter."

It may be pertinent to mention here that Jangra had withdrawn his nomination on Monday, stating that he had been instructed to do so by the party leadership.

However, Badoli said he had no information regarding the matter.

Asked whether the BJP had decided to support Haryana Lokhit Party candidate Gopal Kanda from Sirsa, Badoli said no decision had been taken regarding extending support to him.

Badoli kept on changing his stance regarding support to Kanda. Initially, Badoli said no decision had been taken, but later while talking to a news channel he said he would give his reply after a day.

In a statement given to another channel a few minutes later, Badoli remarked that Kanda's party was an alliance partner in the NDA, hence it was pointless to ask whether the BJP had extended support to him.

In response to a query, Badoli said the Congress was dreaming of coming to power, but it would not be able to do so due to factionalism and infighting.

"The people of Haryana have seen the condition of Delhi and Punjab under AAP regimes and Himachal Pradesh under the Congress rule. Hence, they will vote for the BJP in the Assembly elections," he said.
