While Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini-led BJP government is being criticised for “forgetting” Gurugram after the Vidhan Sabha elections, Badhshpur MLA and Haryana Industry and Commerce Minister Rao Narbir Singh said city would see mega revamp in the next six months. Narbir made the announcement during his weekly grievance meeting in his constituency, saying the city would see major infrastructure upgrade in the upcoming six months.

“A narrative is being circulated that we have forgotten our promises or I have stepped back from what I promised during the elections. That’s not true…we are working on a huge transformation plan for Gurugram. Such mega projects take time to be executed and cannot be revealed casually. I assure you whatever expectations the citizens have regarding the development projects will be fulfilled. If you trusted the BJP for the third time and made us win with unprecedented margins, then we also owe you a major revamp,” said Narbir. Narbir said strong mechanism for merit-based recruitment had been laid, which had increased the trust of the lower strata of society in the government.

The Cabinet Minister said the Haryana Government had also taken important decisions regarding the skill development so that no youth in the state remained unemployed.

The state government was providing every possible help at every level so that youth enhance their skills and create self-employment.

The Minister said the Haryana Government initiated various development schemes in the last 10 years and now CM Saini was announcing new public welfare schemes.

The Cabinet Minister praised Saini. He said he had had the opportunity to work with seven CMs in his political life, and among them, Saini was the most sociable.

He told senior officers in the programme to focus on the Chief Minister’s appeal to reach out to people and spread awareness about government schemes so that no one was deprived of the benefits.

The minister emphasised the need to complete the development programmes on time and adopt new technologies and innovations to complete the projects faster without compromising quality.
