Gandhi Jayanti was observed at the school. Students engaged in various activities, including recitations of Gandhi’s poems and thematic assemblies highlighting his teachings of peace and non-violence, along with community service projects, embodying his principles in action. The tiny tots came dressed as Mahatma Gandhi and recited various poems. Through art and craft activity, students of classes III to V made magnificent belongings of Gandhi, such as spinning wheels, spectacles and dothi, among other things, as well as crafts of three wise monkeys depicting ‘See no evil, hear no evil and speak no evil’. Students of classes VI to VIII wrote inspirational slogans and students of classes IX to XII made beautiful posters on the theme of Mahatma Gandhi’s life. The principal, Poonam Sharma, said celebrating a national festival and imparting knowledge about our national leaders is a part of the curriculum.
