A ‘Sankalp Rally’ was organised by Brahma Kumaris on the Shantivan Abu Road campus as part of the “drug-free India” campaign being run by the medical wing of the organisation.
Holding placards in their hands, hundreds of men and women raised slogans with a pledge to contribute in ridding the society of drug menace.
Banarasi Lal, secretary of medical wing of the group, said in one year, 10,768 programmes had been organised across the country under the “Drug-free India” campaign. Through these programmes, about 25 lakh people have been made aware of the ill-effects of drug addiction and the need to stay away from drugs besides educating them about the social, physical, mental and spiritual harm of drug abuse.
