Govt opens outreach cell in Srinagar
CM Omar Abdullah-led government has set up a public relations-cum-outreach cell in a bid to address public’s grievances, the National Conference said on Thursday. A party statement said that the cell has been established at CM’s Gupkar residence.
Adviser to the Chief Minister, Nasir Aslam Wani, said the aim of setting up this cell is to provide a space to the public to reach to the government and get their issues and grievances redressed.”
“The cell will remain open during office hours on regular basis. The officers will remain available and the CM will also meet public delegations and listen to their grievances,” he said. Wani said roster in this regard would soon be made public. The cell would not only act as the grievances redressal cell, but would also be open to public suggestions as the government belongs to them.
