The Directorate of Higher Education has asked the principals of all government colleges to prepare a student-centric college development plan. The Director, Higher Education, has asked the principals to prepare a roadmap for the development of the college.

It should focus on infrastructure upgrades, and technology integration aimed at creating a conducive learning environment that aligns with modern educational standards.

The Director further wrote to the principals to prepare a college budget plan to address both immediate and long-term needs. The colleges must ensure that the funds are used with responsibility to maximise the benefits for students, faculty and the college as a whole.

The plan must incorporate a systematic schedule of the general maintenance and upkeep of the college, including routine repairs. Besides, the government schemes for the awareness and benefit of the students should be displayed on the college campus.

The colleges should also maintain proper updated information of students’ enrollment, funds, expenditure of funds and proposed expenditure.
