Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla today emphasised the importance of preserving cultural heritage as a cornerstone of societal prosperity. He said that fairs and festivals, such as the Renuka Ji Fair, played a vital role in sustaining cultural traditions and instilling values in the younger generation.

He said, “Culture is our heritage, and only by preserving it we can achieve true prosperity.” He praised Renuka Ji as one of the most picturesque pilgrimage sites in Himachal Pradesh associated with Mata Renuka and Lord Parshuram.

The Governor, while addressing the closing ceremony of the International Renuka Ji Fair, said that it was a testament to the reverence Lord Parshuram holds for his mother, Goddess Renuka Ji. He added that the fair exemplified the rich cultural and spiritual values of Indian society and should be protected at all costs. He congratulated the organisers for successfully preserving the tradition of the fair and ensuring its relevance for future generations.
