The school celebrated Children’s Day by organising a special morning assembly, led by teachers. The event aimed to honour the spirit of childhood and recognise the contributions of children to society. The assembly began with a warm welcome to all students, followed by ‘shabad’ recitation by teachers. The thought of the day was explained by Jaspal Kaur, an English teacher, and a thought-provoking speech highlighting the significance of Children’s Day and its connection to Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru’s vision for children was given by Ankush, an English teacher. Shamsher Singh, computer faculty, conducted a special exercise session to make students health and nutrition conscious. Headmaster GD Singh, in his address, stressed the importance of nurturing young minds and encouraged the students to dream big and work towards their goals. The celebration concluded with a fun-filled activity session by Manpreet Kaur, social studies teacher, and the distribution of sweets and special gifts by Dinesh Sharma, Assistant Manager, Circulation, The Tribune. Davnet Kaur, Jasvir Pal, Daljeet Kaur, and Anjana coordinated wonderfully to make the event a memorable experience, leaving the students delighted and motivated.
