The Zonal Youth Festival of Guru Nanak Dev University was inaugurated today in the Dashmesh Auditorium of the university. Students-artists from education colleges affiliated to GNDU are taking part in the event. As many as 300 student-artists will be participating in competitions in music, theatre, dance and fine arts during the festival.

Prof Preet Mohinder Singh Bedi, Dean, Students’ Welfare, was the chief guest at the function. Dr Amandeep Singh, youth welfare in-charge said that on the first day, competitions in costume parade, mimicry, skit, geet/ghazal and folk songs were organised in the Dashmesh Auditorium.
