Celebrating the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and the International Day of Non-violence, the three-day 17th edition of the Global Youth Peace Fest, organised by Yuvsatta at Chandigarh Institute of Hotel Management, concluded with a resolve to further spread and strengthen partnerships between nations.

Jaishree Sharma, daughter of former President of India Shankar Dayal Sharma, was the chief guest on the concluding day of the event. She said Gandhi understood the dynamics of social change that could be executed only through youth power, especially by inspiring thousands of women to join India’s struggle for freedom.

Pramod Sharma, Yuvsatta founder, said, “The organisation will be coordinating with other partners in the USA, Europe, Africa and Asia to make this bond stronger for a better world.”

Kultar Singh Sandhwan, Speaker, Punjab Legislative Assembly, honoured students of five schools with Inter-School SDG Challenger Trophies. Team of Ology Tech School, Chennai; Learning Paths School, Mohali; St Bir International School, Baddi; Sri Guru Gobind Singh Public School, Hoshiarpur; and Chitkara International School, Sector 25, were awarded.
