As per FIR, the victim wanted to move to Singapore or some European country on a work visa and was searching for immigration companies dealing in work visas, when she came across a video of Sukhchain Singh on Youtube. She dialled the number given on the Youtube video, and visited the office on August 20 to enquire about the Singapore work visa.

After speaking with a company employee, she was asked to visit the office on August 21 where she met Sukhchain. The accused reportedly offered to arrange a work visa for her to Singapore at Rs 5.75 lakh.

The victim, in her complaint, told the police that she received a message from Sukhchain regarding a seminar in a hotel on August 31 regarding study and work abroad. She said she went to the hotel to attend that seminar, but the hotel employee sent her to a room, saying that room had been booked by the immigration company. However, when she entered, she found the room empty. Within 5-10 minutes, Sukhchain arrived, assuring her that other students would be joining shortly, and offered her a soft drink.

The victim said she lost consciousness after consuming a cold drink, only to later realise that she had been sexually assaulted.

The FIR states that unable to bear what happened to her, the victim consumed phenyl tablets and revealed everything to the owner of Schooling Visa Consultancy, where she worked. Her boss immediately rushed to her room and took her to PIMS Hospital and, in the meantime, he alerted the police about the incident.

Meanwhile, the police claimed that the girl had undergone medical examination at the Civil Hospital and further investigation in the case was underway. They said they were verifying the accusations of the victim and collecting related evidence, based on which further action would be taken.
