Dharamsala paid homage to the Father of the Nation on October 2, his birth anniversary. On this occasion, the hill station echoed with the tunes of popular bhajans like ‘Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram’ and ‘Vaishnav Jan to Taine Kahiye’.

Kangra Deputy Commissioner Hemraj Bairwa arrived at Kachehari Adda in Dharamsala to join local residents, schoolchildren and employees to take out a ‘prabhat pheri’ to spread the message of peace and communal harmony among the people.

The DC, together with other participants offered floral wreaths at the statue of Mahatma Gandhi and former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri at Gandhi Vatika. Artists from the Information and Public Relations Department paid tributes to Mahatma Gandhi by reciting bhajans.
