Once a software engineer, Aashna Sharma transitioned into full-time content creation, building a loyal following on YouTube with her unique blend of content. But this month, it's her achievements on the rink that are making headlines.Aashna’s recent triumph at a regional competition, where she won two gold medals in the 500m and 1000m rink races and a silver in the 500m road race, marks a spectacular return to the podium. Adding these victories to her impressive collection of over 100 medals, Aashna’s comeback is not just a return but a new chapter in her multi-faceted career as an athlete, content creator, and former engineer.Reflecting on her journey, Aashna reveals that her love for skating was born out of a simple school requirement. “Each student was encouraged to take up a sport, and I chose skating without any particular goal in mind. But soon, I found myself excelling on the track, and my coach saw potential in me.” Her coach's belief and her parents' support inspired her to pursue the sport seriously. “With their support, what began as a school requirement turned into a passion,” she says. That same passion recently led her to victory at the Chandigarh State Roller Skating Championship, where she won a gold medal—a reminder of how far she’s come since those early days.Aashna’s path hasn’t been without challenges. Three years ago, she was competing at the national level, but her engineering career and growing success in content creation kept her from training competitively. "Leaving my engineering role gave me the freedom to focus on my passions: skating and content creation," she explains. Since then, she has poured her energy into creating engaging videos, nurturing her YouTube audience, and sharing her journey with fans. But her love for skating never waned. After a three-year hiatus, Aashna is now planning a major return to the national skating championships. Her recent victories are a signal that she’s back and stronger than ever, ready to leave a mark on the national stage. Her journey from software engineer to content creator and now to competitive skater has inspired many, showing that it’s possible to excel in diverse fields and turn multiple passions into achievements that shine brightly.
