Four vehicles used for illegal mining seized in Samba

Continuing its drive against illegal mining, Samba police have seized four vehicles in the district that were being used for illegal transportation and mining of the construction material.

Police teams from Vijaypur, Ghagwal and Purmandal while performing patrolling duty in their respective jurisdictional areas, seized a dumper bearing registration number JK21K-5558 and three tractor trolleys without registration numbers, which were being used for illegal transportation and mining of the construction material in the area, a police official informed.

The vehicles were seized by Samba police and handed over to Geology & Mining Department, Samba, for further legal action.
