Foundation stone for projects worth Rs 27.75 crore laid in Leh

Foundation stones for developmental works worth Rs 27.75 crore were laid in villages of Khaltse constituency by Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC) chairman Tashi Gyalson, who was accompanied by Leh Deputy Commissioner Santosh Sukhadeve.
Officials from PWD, PMGSY, PHE, Power Distribution Department (PDD) among others were present during the visit.
Tashi Gyalson visited Ulley, Mangu, Lhardo and Alchi villages and interacted with the public. The villagers accorded a welcome to all the officials during their visit.
At the outset of the tour, the officials paid visits to Ulley village followed by the foundation stone laying ceremony for construction of a community hall under the district plan.
Later, the team led by Gyalson visited Mangue village to review and assess the development works. Gyalson laid the foundation stone for the flood protection work at Mangue Nalla.
The team also visited Lhardo village where Gyalson laid the foundation stone for the construction of a community hall, in the presence of DC Sukhadeve and Khaltse councillor Lobzang Sherap.
During their visit to the said villages, the major issues highlighted by the villagers included completion of road connectivity with blacktopping, strengthening of tele-connectivity networks, repair of motorable bridges, developmental requirements at monasteries and various others. Furthermore, Gyalson visited Alchi village to review developmental works. The village representatives of Alchi also met the CEC and informed him about their grievances at a public gathering.
In addition to that, Gyalson laid foundation stones for the construction of a community hall, futsal ground, link road to Alchi Dok and the construction of ICDS Centre at Alchi village.
Gyalson lauded the efforts of the local people in developing and transforming their region and also assured the villagers to resolve all the issues and fulfilling their genuine demands.
