Forensic probe to unravel mystery of man’s death
The suspicious death of Karam Singh, an employee of a private power project, remains shrouded in mystery as authorities await the forensic investigation report. Singh, a resident of Dandyud village in Churah subdivision, went missing on November 25 after leaving home for work. Two days later, his body was discovered below an embankment near the Tarwai area along the Tissa-Bairagarh Road.
Singh’s family, concerned when he did not return home, filed a missing person report with the police. After his body was found, they alleged foul play, suspecting he was murdered. Acting on their claims, the police summoned forensic experts to examine the site.
On Friday, a forensic team visited the location and collected critical evidence, which will play a key role in uncovering the truth behind Singh’s death. Following a post-mortem at the Tisa Civil Hospital, the police handed over the body to his family.
DSP Salooni Ranjan Sharma stated that the investigation is ongoing, with forensic findings expected to provide clarity. Meanwhile, the incident has left the local community deeply shaken, demanding a thorough and transparent inquiry.
