A food safety team led by district health officer Amrit Warring conducted checking at kitchens of several sweets manufacturers to check the hygiene and cleanliness, besides cautioning them of spurious/synthetic khoya and paneer. He said that the drive was aimed at creating awareness among the people regarding purity of eatables and keeping a check on the manufacturing to meet all specifications laid down by the FSSAI.

To keep a check on food adulteration and ensure compliance with the FSSAI’s specifications in makers of sweets and bakery goods during the festive season, DC Aashika Jain reviewed the progress of the food safety wing today at her office.

Directing the Civil Surgeon Renu Singh and Warring, Aashika asked them to ensure the purity of sweets/bakery items in the market by keeping check on any type of adulteration.
