Food and civil supplies minister chairs grievances redressal committee meeting in Kurukshetra
Haryana's Minister for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Rajesh Nagar on Wednesday chaired a District Public Relations and Grievance Redressal Committee meeting in Kurukshetra.
As many as 14 complaints were listed for the meeting, of which seven were resolved while directions were issued regarding the remaining seven complaints. While listening to a complaint related to adulterated paneer being prepared, the minister issued directions to initiate strict action against those involved in it. He issued directions in complaints related to poor drinking water facility, encroachments and illegal possession. Rajesh Nagar directed the officials to visit the sites and take action against those guilty.
In a matter related to damaged electricity poles in Pehowa, the minister ordered a committee under the Sub-Divisional Magistrate to inquire the matter and take action against the officials, if found guilty.
Speaking to mediapersons about the ongoing farmers’ agitation, Nagar said, “The Haryana Government is giving minimum support price (MSP) on 24 crops to farmers in the state, and has also given highest amount of compensation to the growers in the country for crop loss. The Punjab Government should also ensure that the MSP is given to farmers and their grievances are resolved.”
Deputy Commissioner Neha Singh, Superintendent of Varun Singla, former minister of state Subhash Sudha, BJP district chief Sushil Rana and several other officials and BJP leaders were present during the meeting.
